Get the add-on running in a few minutes
Install from AnkiWeb, restart Anki, then link your StackMed account through your browser.
Install from AnkiWeb
In Anki, open Tools, choose Add-ons, then Get Add-ons. Paste 1305854360 and restart Anki.
Log in through StackMed
From Anki, use Tools → StackMed → Log in. Your browser opens a StackMed link page where you sign in and approve the device.
Use definitions and annotation on your cards
After linking, the add-on can define selected medical terms and annotate card fields with StackMed glossary support.
Browser-based login, scoped access
The add-on is designed so Anki never handles your StackMed password directly.
No password in Anki
Login happens in your browser on stackmed.co.uk. Approve linking only if you started the login from Anki.
Scoped and revocable access
The add-on receives a token for Anki definitions and annotations only. You can revoke linked Anki devices from StackMed settings at any time.
Token stored locally
The token is saved in your Anki profile data and is not stored inside the add-on package.
Revoke and relink
After revocation, use Tools → StackMed → Log in inside Anki to connect the add-on again.
Troubleshooting and support
Most login issues are fixed by copying the link manually or starting a fresh login from Anki.
- —If your browser does not open, use the copy-link button in the Anki login window.
- —If the code expires, start login again from Anki. Link codes expire after a short time.
- —If a linked device was revoked, run Log in again from the StackMed menu in Anki.
- —Do not send passwords, API tokens, auth.json, private logs, or private card content to support unless redacted or clearly consented.
